Scottish Women in Business – Charity of the Year

Scottish Women in Business (SWIB) chose WEvolution as their charity of the year for 2015-2016.  Since that announcement, the SWIB members have been busy hosting a number of events to raise funds for WEvolution’s work.  One of the fundraising events was ‘5×50’ which involved SWIB members keeping fit and busy by exercising for 30 minutes a day for 50 days to raise money for WEvolution.

To cap off a year full of events, SWIB invited WEvolution along to accept a cheque for the money it had raised over the past year.  It was a fantastic opportunity for WEvolution to share more about the SRGs and their work, as well as showcase SRG products by hosting a market stall at the event.  Karlie Stewart from Wine Time SRG attended as a representative for WEvolution and describes the inspiring event in more detail: “It was amazing to see all these women who have built companies and businesses from the ground up and turned it into something so successful.  I was really inspired!  They were so down to earth and wanted to give me advice and tips on progressing further!  Everyone wanted to give me their details because they can help in some way or, know someone who can help o,r even just to keep in touch.  It was such a nice feeling.”  At the end of the evening WEvolution walked away with a cheque of £2,300 (the most they have ever raised for their charity of the year!) but, more importantly, with a larger network of impressive businesswomen ready to support the SRG movement.

Thank you SWIB for journeying beside WEvolution and the SRGs!
